Built in 1960 in a Nova Scotia shipyard, the 180-foot Bounty was designed – using actual plans from the British Admiralty archives – as a doppelganger for the historic ship captained by William Bligh for an excursion to the South Seas in 1789.

The final organizational meeting before chartering of the new Tampa Bay Commandry will take place on April 20.
The Tampa Bay Commandery is in the process of becoming the next new Commandery in the Naval Order. Hopefully we will be chartered in the next few months. We are having a 3rd organizational meeting in March.
We are a small group anxious to bring this new Commandery to life and come together to recognize our maritime history. We encourage anyone in the Tampa Bay area to contact us and see if this could be a fit for you.
