About the 2025 National Congress in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The 2025 Annual Congress of the General Commandery will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from Wednesday, 15 October to Saturday, 18 October 2025.

The Marriot Element and W Hotels, Philadelphia Downtown, will partner to cohost the congress. This schedule and site were selected to coincide with the Navy and Marine Corps 250th anniversary celebrations.

There will be an unprecedented display of Navy ships from the American Revolution to today, including ships important to the Marine Corps starting on 9 October. This will include a replica of USS Providence, one of the original Navy ships.

The 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps' founding on 10 November 1775, will be celebrated by holding the 100th Marine Corps Birthday Ball in the same Philadelphia ballroom where General Lejeune held the 1st Marine Corps Birthday Ball 100 in 1925. There will be a dedication of The Tun tavern, a permanent recreation of the birthplace of the Marines, which will attract Sailors, Marines, and all citizens for years to come.

There will be commemorations near Independence Hall and Congress Hall where the Navy and Marine Corps were created, including parades, concerts, demonstrations, exhibits, reenactments, veterans gatherings, and other great events to give the Navy and Marine Corps the 250th celebration they deserve!

These celebrations will shine an early spotlight on the birthplace of our Nation, honor the Navy and the Marine Corps, salute the men and women who have defended the United States and the world for 250 years.
