USS Hornet

Chuck Myers will join us to talk about his involvement in the making of the most recent version of the movie “Midway”. Chuck is a member of the Board of Trustees and a Docent on the USS Hornet in Alameda and was a junior officer once upon a time a long, long time ago aboard the USS Yorktown, sister ship of the Hornet. He was a technical advisor on Roland Emmerich’s “Midway” and reprised that role in the 2021 movie “Devotion.” Come join us and find out how Chuck kept two great movies true to Navy form.

The BAR opens at 11:00. Guests are welcome, and NO RSVP is required. Validated parking is available at the Filbert St. Garage at 721 Filbert. There are also two public parking facilities adjacent to the Police Station on the 700 Block of Vallejo (between Powell and Columbus).
