Please join your fellow Companions for the last Monthly Speaker Luncheon of the year at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club. We are honored to welcome our Guest Speaker, author John J. Geoghegan, who will speak to us about “When Giants Ruled the Sky: The Brief Reign and Tragic Demise of the American Rigid Airship”. Some of you might have already read his book on the matter, and here is your opportunity to get some more information up close and personal. As always, we will start with our Social Hour at 1100 with the Program beginning at noon. Discounted parking is available at the garage at 721 Filbert, just on the other side of Columbus Avenue.

During our luncheon program, we will talk about the recently completed Congress. We are proud that our San Francisco Commandery was recognized in 2023 as the best large Commandery and was awarded the LCDR Lee Douglas Award. The Commandery has earned this award in the past, so this continues to recognize the excellence of our Commandery in meeting the Naval Order mission. Everyone had a part in this achievement, and we can celebrate it appropriately during the Luncheon.

Social Hour 11:00 a.m. and Luncheon at 12:00 p.m., followed by our speaker/presentation. Secure at 13:30. Guests are welcome.

The Italian Athletic Club is on Washington Square at 1630 Stockton St. (between Filbert and Union and near Columbus and Powell), San Francisco. Validated parking is at the 721 Filbert Street. Garage.
