Redding Sends:
About 100 of us gather annually for our Pearl Harbor Dinner. It is this Commandery’s Signature Event. And now, in the time of the virus we are at a crossroads as to whether we hold it this year.
Our Commandery will need to commit funds to the venue shortly. Because of Social Distancing, we may have half the participation which would significantly increase costs. We may have to have plated dinners instead of a buffet (for health purposes) which will significantly increase costs. Then there are the logistical challenges of ticket sales when we have far fewer opportunities to promote the event and physically sell tickets.
Commander’s Request: Tell me how you feel about having this event this year. Share with me whether you think you’d attend or not. And why you would or wouldn’t. Ken Arendt and I have spoken about this issue and the Commandery will soon need to make a decision. And we’d like to include your input as we make this decision. sfnouscommander@gmail.com
