About the 2023 National Congress in San Diego, California

The Naval Order Congress returns to the West Coast in 2023. Our hotel is the Double Tree by Hilton San Diego Mission Valley. The San Diego Trolley stops just steps from the hotel lobby. There is no need for a rental car. (From the Airport take 99 bus to Santa Fe Depot trolley stop on the Green line and get off at the Mission Valley Center.)
The Trolley from the hotel provides access to San Diego’s Top Attractions including Old Town the historic Gaslight District and for the hardy travelers to the Mexican Border San Ysidro stop.
The hotel is connected to the Hazard Valley Center shops and restaurants and just one Trolley stop to the Mission Valley Fashion Mall with high end shopping and restaurants.
The hotel will provide guestrooms at the Federal Per diem rate with free wi-fi in the guest rooms and throughout the hotel.
The group rate is available 3 days pre and post Congress.
The theme of this year’s Congress is the Marine Corps with the traditional four day format:
Wednesday—Committee meetings, Commander General ‘s Reception, Distinguished Sea Service Award;
Thursday—General Session, Lee Douglas and Jan Armstrong Award luncheon;
Friday— Marine Corps Graduation Ceremony at Marine Corps Recruit Depot followed by Distinguished Sea Service Award – Enlisted Luncheon at the Officers’ Club and an afternoon tour of USS Midway for presentation of RADM Brown Award;
Saturday—Historic speakers, Fleet Admiral George Dewey Award luncheon, Change of Command and Grand Banquet.
Following the Congress, AMTRAK train [The Coaster] is available from downtown to Los Angeles and Hollywood.
