2019 National Congress - Boston, Massachusetts

The Naval Order’s 2019 Congress was held from Tuesday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 27th at the Constitution Inn in Boston, Massachusetts, the birthplace of the Naval Order and homeport of our honorary flagship, USS Constitution.

The Constitution Inn is located at the head of the Freedom Trail adjacent to the Charleston Navy Yard in the heart of Boston and close proximity to many local attractions. It is the perfect base from which to enjoy Boston’s rich history, culture, museums and nightlife. The Constitution Inn has 147 rooms, and we currently have a room block of 60 rooms reserved; two-bed rooms at $155.35 per night, and king bed rooms at $161.85 per night. Please contact the Constitution Inn directly. To book, contact Ms. Narthis Warren (nwarren@constitutioninn.org) or leave a message with "Group Sales" using the general number (617) 241-8400, Option 2. to make your reservations.

The preferred airport for the Constitution Inn is Boston, MA (BOS-Logan Intl.) located about 5.1 miles away.  

UPDATE 9/4/2019:

I learned yesterday that several rooms just opened up at the Constitution Inn on 23 and 24 October. These are the dates where there had been a conflict with our Congress. This should enable us to ensure that there is 'room at the inn' for everyone who would like to attend. Please pass this update on as appropriate to ensure that companions in your commandery are aware of this change. Also, if someone intends to stay at the Marriott, please ask them to let me know so that any apparent inconsistencies between the congress registration list and the hotel reservation list are accounted for. Here is the information related to the hotel:

The Naval Order has a room block of rooms reserved at the Constitution Inn; two-bed rooms at $155.35 per night, and king bed rooms at $161.85 per night. The Constitution Inn is working very hard to accommodate our needs. To book, contact Ms. Narthis Warren (nwarren@constitutioninn.org or leave a message with "Group Sales" using the general number (617) 241-8400, Option 2, to make your reservations. Please let Ms. Warren know that you are with the Naval Order (Naval Historical Group). If there are nights when a firm reservation cannot be made – ask to be placed on the waiting list. We’ll continue to work with them to get everyone in as vacancies occur. All reservations must be made by 22 September to get the discounted rate. If you intend to cancel your reservation, please let me know and remind Ms. Warren to return your reservation to the Naval Order block of rooms.

We have also arranged for a block of rooms at the Marriott Residence Inn. We have a number of Studio Suites set aside at a rate of $305/night – not including a 15% tax. Although more expensive, some persons may prefer this option. To make reservations, please call (800) 331-3131 and identify yourself as a part of the USS CONSTITUTION EVENT. You can also reserve the group rate directly through the web address: http://www.marriott.com/bostw. All reservations must be made by Friday September 27th to receive this discounted rate.
